Playing with photo effects and jewelry

I've been wanting to post all week and show you my earrings that are in the current issue of Stringing Magazine! {shown below}

The earrings are created with raw brass hammered disks, and pretty green picasso czech glass beads. When I created these spring inspired earrings I didn't have a specific design in mind!

I knew I was going to use the brass hammered disks to mimic the sun.

And then, since these earrings are for the spring season, I decided to pair the disks with green beads.

These beads, in different variations of greens and teals, complemented the brass disks perfectly! Then I topped them off with a smaller bronze bead. Sometimes, designs flow easily and come together just the way you had hoped!

ps...Thank you Stringing for showcasing these earrings in your spring issue!

I am re-visiting this simple necklace design and going to make more soon. I want to tweek the design a bit and see what I come up with...I always like working with green beads around this time of year.

Heart of Gold

{heart of gold earrings}

By now, you must know how much I love discovering vintage uncirculated beads! These hearts are vintage lucite heart etched beads.

{sold}

I paired the vintage beads with a topaz color swarovski crystal. This pair is sold but I do have a limited amount available for purchase. Leave me a comment here if interested. This will probably be the last of the 'heart' themed earrings I will blog about before Valentine's day.

ps...aren't these the cutest cupcakes!

Enjoy,

Photos and beads

Photobucket
{'Paint the Town Red' earrings}

Recently, I was playing around with my photo {above} of my 'paint the town red' earrings. I really like the way the pic turned out. If you are a reader of my blog you will recognize that these earrings were recently published in the Jan. '12 issue of Bead Trends magazine.

These earrings are so easy to make! Just pick up the issue of Bead Trends for step by step instructions. If you have any questions or need any beading help just let me know. :)

found at: Vintage Baubles

You can add a small 4mm Swarovski crystal bead in the center of these beads like I did! Then a pretty teardrop bead of your choice will finish off this look.
