I pulled out some vintage copper chain with tiny little bubblegum colored beads. I took Kashmira's advise and used delicate chain. I think that advise is key! Delicate chain drapes the ankle perfectly.
I had this vintage copper chain that is very delicate and thought it would be perfect. First measure your chain around your ankle. Since there was about an inch gap I started looking for the perfect focal...
I pulled out the largest bead cap I had and flattened it out a bit. It's a 19mm antiqued copper bead cap with a pretty design. Since it's lightweight it was perfect for me. (I couldn't even feel this piece on my ankle...I'm sure I will be wearing it all summer long!)
Then I picked an opaque white 4mm Swarovski crystal. And using a brass ball end headpin created a messy wire wrapped loop.
Using a small oval jump ring I attached the chain (the dangle side) to one of the holes in the bead cap. Then I attached a small clasp to the other side of the bead cap using another oval jump ring. That's it! It was so much fun to make I think I will have to make more! Now, I'm off to see what the other participants created.
Thank you Kashmira for hosting the hop! I can't wait for the next anklet hop you host!

I love your delicate and pretty design, Roxanne, that is a unique way to use a bead cap!
Very pretty and inventive the way you solved the short chain problem. Love the bead links. Great job!
Your ankle bracelet is very delicate and pretty! I love the bead cap as a focal, worked out great.
This is so pretty and dainty. I totally love your flattened bead cap as the focal and the vintage chain is perfect for it. Plus the little pops of color are great. Wonderful anklet.
I really like yours. The colors would look excellent on a tan ankle. Glad you seem to be enjoying the hop as much as I did.
Love that rustic looking flower....very sweet. And the little colorful beads are so much fun :)
So glad you found me, helped me and joined in :)

LOVELY design! and really liking the copper in this
Roxi, I love your attention to details- the oval jump ring, the fine chain and the flattened out bead cap all blended so beautifully in your design. I also liked the way you gave the Etsy shop links from where you bought those unique goodies, so that we can go visit them too. Great job - Dita.
What a lightweight, inventive design! I'm sure you'll be enjoying it all Summer. :)
love all the details you worked into that delicate chain. So pretty
Love how you re-purposed a bead cap into a focal, and created just the right focal for your delicate chain. So pretty with the little pastel beads & crystal dangle! Enjoy wearing your cool anklet this summer!
Awesome! (and I wish I had seen this blog hop sooner!)
