This is one of my older pieces that I still have...this is just a snippet of a bracelet. {below}

This necklace is featuring a vintage coin. {below} For all the jewelry makers out there...I've been contiplating 'de-contructing' this piece and doing I don't know what with it. Do you have some of those pieces that just linger around and you don't know what to do with them? If so, let me know!

If I decide to keep them available for purchase or just to keep for myself, I found a cute clutch that I liked to go with them. ;)

Earrings & an Angel

These are all for one customer and ready to ship! I have more orders to get ready and then I can rest. Today I took a break and visited my favorite etsy bead shops. Because of them I can create the earrings I design. Can't wait to receive everything I've purchased and to come up with new jewelry designs this new year!

In the meantime, I just look at my holiday decor {I went with white & silver this year} and let the stress of the season melt away while I remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Jewelry bags all in a row!

I just had to take a quick pic after embellishing my new cotton/muslin jewelry bags! I know they are not really 'christmas-y' but I have quite a few orders I need to get going on. These bags have a stenciled letter initial for the gift recipient...with glitter added of course!

I did them in a dark blue, lighter blue, and a green. I have a few more to make and jewelry to make to fill the bags before I officially take a holiday and spend time with family and friends and start all over next year!

{I will be taking orders until Dec. 15th...for any earrings seen in print, on my website, or at my etsy shop.}

I finally got my hands on a copy to see how my earrings turned out...needless to say I was and am still in awe of the photography and concept for the photo. I really love how the design team interpreted my earring design in their layout and pairing it with the white tree/wood background. It's amazing to see something I created in print!

To make this an even more amazing day the above pair of earrings have already sold! I will be creating a limited edition amount that I will be adding to my etsy shop, so stay tuned. If you can't wait, just let me know and reserve your pair today! I can still get it out to you before the holidays but Dec. 15th will be the deadline to receive before Christmas.

Faux Patina Beads {Turquoise}

A couple weeks ago I decided to try to create my own {faux} patina beads. I had some rose silvertone metal beads that had been left out and already started to oxidize. I gathered them up and started on my faux patina project! In the end, I wanted them to have a lot of turquoise left on them and only lightly sanded off to see the rose part of the bead. They had a sealer applied twice and I let them dry.

This was a quick weekend project. I have other colors to try next. But now, I can't wait to create some fun summer earrings using these beads!

I love the look of vintage or retro photos and wanted to try to re-create the look on the pic above. At first, I was looking for a polaroid app maker but decided to just bronze the photo instead. This is a necklace I created using a vintage earring as the focal point. It is probably from the 1950's.

The long bead (shown at top of picture) is over 20 years old.

The necklace can be adjusted to be worn short or long. The chain, clasp, and goldtone flower bead are all new. I hope you enjoyed this sneak peak and will be adding this necklace to my site soon!

I found a link I wanted to share with everyone! I needed to create a new header for my blog, etc, and happened upon the Counting Your Blessings blog. Time is always short these days and I knew I wouldn't have time to take my own pics to create a new header for my blog and online shops. But then I found Polly's blog and it really was a God send! Not only is it inspirational and the pics are beautiful but she also offers free blog headers that can be customized by the user!

This was exactly what I needed so I immediately emailed to make sure I could use her headers for my online shops like etsy, etc. Polly was most gracious and I am so glad to have found her beautiful photos. My blog header (above) was created using her photography! She also has pre-made free etsy banners that you can find here. If you use one of her freebies drop me a line and let me know!

Here is my latest creation...the "Paris in June" ring! It's much lovelier in person (I had such a hard time getting a decent pic...but that's another story). So, I will describe every detail:

I just wanted to post real quick and show you what else I've been working on! These little rings remind me of easter eggs because of their oval shape. They are sweet too! Both are vintage floral Japanese cabochons. The ring itself is antiqued brass and is adjustable to fit most sizes. I will be adding these to my site in a day or two. If you want more info on them just let me know! All jewelry items come gift wrapped in a sheer organza bag ready for gift giving.

I finally found the time to show off my little mixed media note pads that I have been working on! I do not have this on my web site yet...but do have plans for them to be up soon. I'm trying to decide which one I like the best...probably the first one I made...which is the yellow one. My friend, Debbie Overton, is having a blog party for her 50th birthday bash! I meet her 4 - 5 years ago, and although we have yet to meet in person I am grateful for her friendship and happy for every success she achieves with her bliss. Happy Birthday Debbie!

So, in honor of Debbie's B-day I will be giving away 2 'party favors'!

Random thing #1: We 'adopted' a turtle that we found in our backyard one summer.

Random thing #2: I love to bake but limit that to once or twice a month. ;)

I've just been trying to decide between paper or beads for these wonderful friends who voted for me! Linda, Kari & Kijsa, & Adrienne all voted for me in my last Stringing Magazine jewelry submission.
